Is It Because Religion Told Me Not To?

I have never killed.

However,

I have taken a handful of grapes at the supermarket while walking around, that’s “stealing”.

I have thought about someone else’s husband, that’s “coveting thy neighbor’s wife”.

I have told people I can’t go out because I have things to do, when in all I did was lay in bed and watch TV, that’s “lying”

I have disrespected my parents intentionally or unintentionally as a teen, that’s not “honoring my father and mother”

I have wondered why some receive certain things, opportunities, and privileges in life while others do not, that’s “coveting thy neighbors goods”

I have been part of gossiping, pertaining someone else’s life and their decisions in life, and commented on it when I had absolutely no clue of their situations, that’s “bare false witness against thy neighbor”

In my early 20’s all I did was party and have fun. A lot of unhealthy choices were made and very stupid personal choices, none of them were “keeping the the holy Sabbath, not committing adultery, and most definitely not honoring Gods name”

Organized Religion’s best weapon against their followers is “fear” and I have come to the conclusion that is not very effective, nice, and definitely not the best way to teach people to genuinely be good humans.
The only thing I have never done from the 10 commandments is kill and I believe I never will; I highly doubt is because growing up I was told not to ever kill. I was also told not to do the other nine, but now you know my track record on that.

Life itself will guide you to grow to be the person you need to be, if you listen and follow your heart and stay true to yourself always.
Stay away from other peoples choices, observe and don’t judge, love, and respect their lives.

We are, always have, and always will be one with God.
